Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use the Shifa Clinic website.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

This website is not medical advice

Everything on this site is general information about our practice and the services we offer. It is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified clinician. Never delay seeking care or disregard advice you have been given because of something you read here.

In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

No clinician-patient relationship

Using this website, reading its content or sending us a message through the contact form does not create a clinician-patient relationship. That relationship begins when you are seen and accepted as a patient of the practice.

Appointments and walk-ins

Appointment requests made through this website are requests, not confirmations. An appointment is booked only once a member of our team confirms it with you. Walk-in availability depends on how busy the clinic is on the day.

Patient portal

Our patient portal is provided by a third party. When you open the portal you leave this website and your use of it is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Please use this site only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or use it to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content.

Our content

The text, images, logos and design of this website belong to Shifa Clinic or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Anything else needs our written permission.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another organisation’s website we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Availability and accuracy

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Details such as hours and services can change; if something matters to your decision, please call us to confirm it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shifa Clinic is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for the care we provide to our patients.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date above tells you when it last changed.
